Eric von Schulthess is a creator of fine art photography, skillfully capturing his subjects with an eye for the extraordinary. As a multiple international award-winning photographer, Eric von Schulthesss enjoys high recognition for his work, hav­ing received over 100 international awards in less than three years. To underscore his professionalism, Eric successfully completed the “Master in Fine Art Photography” at MPI (Master Photographers International) in Calgary in 2024.

The foundation for his photographic career was laid during the first COVID-19 lockdown in June 2020. He began immersing himself in workshops and learning from other photographers. What started as a hobby turned into a profession. Through this process, the passionate image-maker rediscovered Switzerland through the lens: “I am constantly fascinated by what this country has to offer – a true gem on our planet.”

Inspired by landscape and nature photography, Eric expanded his photographic scope, with people becoming an essential part of his creative work. He was intensively trained by Martin Zurmühle and quickly made a name for himself in portrait and fine art nude photography. Over the course of a year, Eric developed his unique lighting technique, known as the “von Schulthess Portrait.”

Since May 2023, the photographer has operated his own “Eric von Schulthess Gallery” in Grenchen. Additionally, he organizes and leads photography trips to distant countries, such as Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia.
